151/11466 Polynesian wooden club, likely Fijian. Catalogue identifies it as a "Kafir" war club from Easter Island. "Kafir" or "Kaffir" is an insulting term for a black African. The designations of "Kafir" and "Easter Island" may have been given by the donor Dr. F.P. Cronkite when it was given to the Museum in 1929. Research on this interesting object is ongoing.
