08.21.1 1958 portrait of Harold Dugdale. When you visit the Wyeth-Tootle Mansion you may notice this portrait on display next to the "Dugdale Bear".  Mr. and Mrs. Dugdale owned the Dugdale Meat Packing plant in St. Joseph and were hunters. As the story goes, Mrs. Dugdale was more proficient with the rifle. Nevertheless, one of couple shot our poor bear and he was on display for several years at the Dugdale offices before finding his home at the St. Joseph Museum.
