About The Event
At the September 22 meeting, club participants will meet at Perka Buildings, 1111 Alabama Street in St. Joseph. The topic will be hybrid buildings using wood and steel. Club activities will include a tour of the tool trailer and the shop along with a look at safety gear and how important it is when working with tools. Children will get some hands-on experience as the Perka staff teaches them about general tool box production and blue prints as they create a project of their own. This session is limited to 15 students. The ArKIDtecture Club is sponsored by the St. Joseph Museums with additional funding provided by the David H. Morton Memorial Fund for the Arts and the Museum Hill Neighborhood Association. All materials and snacks are provided at each session. The fee is $8 per student or $6 for St. Joseph Museum members. Registration is required. Reservations can be made online at stjosephmuseum.org/events or by calling 816-232-8471. Parents are welcome to stay during meetings.
