Video Editing FREE 2 day workshop
Do you know a middle schooler that wants to learn video making skills? We are looking for students to help us wrap up a project with the Smithsonian, a video about St. Joseph's water story.
Time & Location
Feb 21, 2021, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM CST
St. Joseph Museums, Inc., 3406 Frederick Ave, St Joseph, MO 64506, USA
About the Event
In 2020 we worked with the Smithsonian to bring the Water/Ways exhibit to St. Joseph. We had multiple H2JO programs for middle school students to learn about water in the area. COVID-19 interrupted our plan to resume activities in the spring, but we have one more piece of this project to complete; a video project to show St. Joseph’s water story.
We will be hosting a two day workshop to learn about the filming process, storyboarding, and some different editing software. Students are encouraged to bring a device they feel comfortable learning on; ipad, tablet, smartphone, camera. The museum will have a few to use that day, but a film project will be assigned for the second day so a personal device will be helpful to have.
Day one, Sunday February 7th from 1-3 pm, the students learn about filming. An interview set up will be used to get practice…
